Last night we had a dinner at the curry leaves restaurant it was one of the best the best Indian food I have ever had. I har a goan fish curry and my partner had a chicken tikka masala it was perfect. The service was great by naveen and malling.Totally recommend this restaurant.Great vibes.
We went there to celebrate a birthday party, we had tandoori chicken and mixed platter as starters they were very good and felt were made in authentic style. And for the mains we had chicken dum biryani which was very good(undoubtedly best in Colchester).I would recommend this restaurant any one who is looking for authentic Indian food.Will definitely visit soon.
We ordered collection food, tried so many Indian places and wanted to try this one as my Indian friend used to order biryani from there. Masala and bhuna were both too spicy(might be our fault as I agreed to masala being medium spice but never had spicy masala before) it didn’t taste like traditional ch.t. Masala at all, rice was tasty, Bhuna was little better but had some chicken that was not lean and my husband spat it out, he then also found some onion skin in there. The naan bread was small and probably the worst we had in colchester
Food was delicious and made with just the right amount of spice. We were a large party and the service was excellent. The waiter helped us set up a projector and was very attentive throughout. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The food is great!
Hi,the waiter who served us was very nice but all the otherwise the food was very nice and i'd definitely recommend this place.We had a birthday gathering here and a special video recorded for the birthday boy and the waiters were all very nice in letting us show it with a projector
I ordered food for my Dads wake, this food was loved by 44 Indians who travelled from all over London including East London, west London and Southall. The food was all gone a testament to the good taste and quality and also price. There were great veg and none options. You need to give the place a chance. And good parking too.
This place makes very good food. I love tea especially. It tastes authentic Indian tea. Jahnavi served and treated me very well. She made me feel friendly and comfortable. I love to visit this place often.
If you're in the mood for overpriced food, this is the place for you! I ordered *cut mirchi* and what did I get? A full mirchi thrown onto my plate, not even close to the actual dish. When I politely questioned it, the lazy chef couldn't be bothered to fix the mistake. Instead, I was told, "This is what we do—eat it or leave it." The attitude was as tasteless as the food.To top it off, the portions were ridiculously small for the price. You’re better off avoiding this place altogether unless you enjoy paying too much for a meal that’s half done.
We went there as vegetarians and non-vegetarians and found an above average taste!We tried as much as we could and found similar taste in a few of the items which wasn't very impressive.After the staff's recommendation we tried a south indian chicken curry and the chicken was very tender - good work on that.Chicken lollipop was a much voted dish.
This little gem of an Indian restaurant is fully deserving of a 5 star review.I have never had authentic Indian Cuisine and I can hands down say this is the best Indian food I have ever eaten.Thank you for a lovely meal and experience.
